Harmony is a Beautiful Thing

Jared Weaver pitched a gem of a game he went seven and one third innings, two hits, and seven strikeouts. An impressive shutout. The offense has scored eight runs with home runs by Juan Rivera, Ryan Buddie, and Howie Kendrick. The home runs were against Felix Hernandez, he's supposed to be the Mariners second best pitcher after Cliff Lee. Other then these All-Star pitchers the Mariners don't have much more on their pitching staff. Critics will immediately point out that the Manners are not a championship caliber team. Whether they are or not, they are still a division rival and as such they are a threat to the Angels on their quest to claim their fourth straight American League West title.

This game proves that the Angels are dangerous when all three facets come together pitching, offense, and defense, the issue now is consistency, can the Angels keep it up long enough catch and overtake the Texas Rangers or the Oakland Athletics? I believe they can.

A win feels great, let's hope this continues for a while. Go Angels!
