I think the Rally Monkey is on Vacation

The rally monkey sure picked an interesting time to go on vacation, as we prepare for the Boston Red Sox tomorrow, I can't help but wonder what the Angels can do to improve the team. There's nothing really glaring, all facets of the team will go through peaks and valleys that's just the nature of the game. It just seems like a collection of little things are impacting the team at the same time and falling victim to a sweep by the Detroit Tigers certainly didn't help.

Hideki Matsui has cooled off just a bit, the last two outings of Joel Piñeiro have been poor. The Angels' bats were virtually silent today, and routine defensive plays have been anything but. What happened to the team that took two out of three from the New York Yankees? Why is it that we can hold our own with the defending World Series Champions but we can't beat the teams we should be beating?

All this is happening while Torii Hunter is beginning to warm up he hit three run home runs in back to back games, where is a support of the bullpen? Just as everyone is having a collective slump right now, it is my sincere hope that everyone comes out of the slump sooner rather than later, at the same time, The team that is known for late inning rallies has had none, I hope the rally monkey comes back from his vacation very soon. I would love to hear your opinions as to what is going on, maybe tomorrow's Angels' Boosters meeting will give me some ideas.
